I suppose at this point, we have to give Monty the Blizzard Entertainment treatment--that is:

"When it's done, it's done."

That said, on an unrelated note, have any of you noticed that this new Bnet "2.0" (more like 0.2) generation of games (Starcraft 2, looking like D3 also, WoW) are WORSE in the memorable areas?

Though, on a somewhat related note...while Monty's techniques have improved, I still think part II was the most epic of the DFs due to the fantastic team battle choreography and the fact that the laws of physics were sitting back and eating popcorn.

Judging by DF 8 (Namine), we're getting back to the epicness.

by the way, Fan of the Fans, in response to the accusation that Monty can't even take one day to send his fans something, a question; Did you miss his gallery on the way to the comments? He's shown several girls whos models he has redone, announced several new characters in clips that he either put up himself or were leaked online, further more, he's asked fans for their opinions via his twitter and FB (i am recalling him asking us to submit drive forms, dressphere designs, and name a character who's in red) So thank you sir for your concern, but he's doing everything he can, if you can't wait anymore, then stop watching. Hassling him to produce an episode a year isn't going to make DF come any faster.

Additionally, to other avid journal readers, was there or was there not some sort of posting where he asked wether we'd want a 3 min episode a year or have him work his ass off and let them all fly at the end of 2012? I could be delusional but I'm almost certain I came across a posting like that, help me out here x3

I'm slightly bothered by how impatient people are, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. The only people who have the right to tell Monty that it's sad that he's made people wait this long for DF are the ones who have actually animated a scene before, they are the only ones who truly knows how long it takes to render every frame, make sure the scene flows properly, not to mention he's doing everything by himself, noone helps with sounds, music (save the artists he borrows from), particle effects, or even fight choreography. Couple all this with the fact that he has a demanding job, it's like saying his finishing DF for us, for FREE, is more important than him making enough money to pay his bills. Now he has stated before that he wonders wether he should even continue DF because of how many people demand a new episode, and in all honesty, I wouldn't blame him if he decided to do a cheap ending to finish the series, or stop producing it altogether. Why? Because this is something he does, for fun, for us, for FREE, on his SPARE TIME. Of which, he has little to none. I've eagerly awaited every DF release and personally cannot wait until Rinoa makes her reappearance (she is ultimate in WIN, in my own personal opinion), but that doesnt mean I'm going to hound him daily until he gives me a new episode. I don't get where people think that just cuz they like something, they're entitled to more of it. Keep your demanding comments to yourself please, you're not the only one who's waiting, and let's not forget, he has put his personal life on hold for this project, we are selfish to think he should be doing more. Has noone stopped to think that he's putting the final touches on an episode as we speak? Or that he's done with all of them and plans to release them at a convention? Probably not. We have no idea what Monty is planning, and we have no right to. As fans, our only job is to support him in his endeavors and cheer when we see the next level of bad-assery he will present. Lay off people, and let the man do his thing :/
We do not have a right to more Dead Fantasy episodes, it is a privilege, please remember that.

To Monty: Bro, keep doing what your doing. For every uber-fan that expects an episode every year, there are at least one of us fans willing to wait a lifetime for one :3
